In addition GEF sponsors many other activities, including

Preparation for Advanced Placement programs DECA Program, teaching GHS students business, finance, hospitality and marketing skills. Grade 5 Ballroom Dancing teaching fifth graders movement and social skills in a disciplined and fun way. College experience – GEF funds trips for Middle School students to local colleges so that they see the potential benefits of college education. Summer Reading Program – in summer 2009 a pilot program that aims to improve literacy skills in Elementary School students was held for 30 K-5 students who were deemed in need of help.Stipends for teacher advisors for the GHS music, theater, literary, and community involvement programs bring much needed guidance to the students in these important areas.
